After graduating from the College of Charleston I asked myself two questions: where do I want to live and what do I want to do? Although I’ve traveled a good bit, I always came back to the Lowcountry, so that was an easy decision. As for what I wanted to do, I’ve always been fascinated with construction. After his naval career, my father owned a small remodeling business, and my grandfather had been a construction superintendent in Florida for many years. It seemed as though I was destined to be a builder. My professional career has included over 15 years of residential construction experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. I’ve enjoyed building one of a kind custom homes for a number of years throughout the Charleston area (Kiawah Island, Mt. Pleasant, Daniel Island).
When I’m not building homes I’m spending time with my children and fiancé, as well as getting out on the water as often as I can. I’ve been sailing in and around Charleston Harbor since I was 19, so boating is a real passion for me. I’m very fortunate to have three wonderful daughters, and will be married in the spring of 2016.
