I grew up locally in Summerville, graduating from Summerville High School and Charleston Southern University. After college I spent a few years at the Dupont plant, but soon realized that factory life was not for me. I found work in construction sales, which led me to my life as a home builder. My first week on the job became an exciting one when Hurricane Hugo made a direct hit on Charleston. Instead of starting as a Project Manager, I became a roofer and a framer. Things were pretty intense in those early days, but I sure learned a lot - and 29 years later, I'm still building custom homes.
My building experience includes everything from starter homes to high end custom home and ocean front homes. I have done remodels of all sorts, including historic home remodels in Downtown Charleston and the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant.
I have been married for 25 years to my wife and best friend, Lynn. We both enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren, and our dogs, Maddie and Katie. In my spare time, I enjoy bow hunting and researching my ancestry on ancestry.com.
When I look back at my long career as a home builder, I can truly say that I would do it all over again. Building is still fun for me. I look forward to helping the Structures team continue to build the finest homes in the Charleston area, and to providing our customers with homes that exceed their expectations.
